First, it was a novel I bought last year. I only read the first half and then left it in the lab before heading to Singapore. I always wanted to finish it but once again, it was not with me to San Jose.

Then I watched the trailer in the summer and waited till this winter for this motion picture. I have to say, the second half plot is more intense than I have expected. A very personal story infused with Islamic roots makes me feel even one of the most chaos places in this world is not barren at all, at least for some moments. This was also the time that I learned a bit of Sunni and Shia Muslims.

I personally feel this movie is more incredible than Lust, Caution, in the sense both of them got Golden Globe nominations.
